How to Make Vegan gingerbread (gingerbread)
Instructions
- In the mixer (if you don't have it, handy) with the shovel, mix the margarine with the pan. Add the aquafaba and continue mixing.
- Sift the flour together with the baking soda. And we mix again.
- Add the spices and continue whisking. And finally we add the molasses.
- We finish kneading with our hand and roll into a ball and put 30 minutes in the fridge.
- After that time, we divided it into two and between two sheets of parchment paper and helped by 2 strips so that the cookies come out the same, we roll a rolling pin over it and stretch the dough.
- We have 2 options. Put it in the fridge for at least 1 hour, the longer the better and then cut. Or we can cut directly with a pasta cutter with the shape we like best.
- In the oven tray we put parchment paper and place our gingerbread dolls. Put it in the fridge for 1 hour. The longer the better.
- With the oven preheated to 175° heat up and down, put the tray in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes (you already know that the time depends on your oven).
- We take out the tray, wait a couple of minutes and move on to a rack to cool.
- With the rods, beat the aquafaba and icing sugar at medium-high speed. Add a splash of lemon juice and beat at high speed until it peaks.
- Put it in a pastry bag with a small nozzle (from No. 1 or 2) or cut off a small spout. We make the shape of the mouth, eyes, eyebrows. We can decorate however we like.
- To finish with colored fondant (or skittles) we make the buttons. We can also make candy canes with fondant to decorate.
