Making your own mantecol is not only easy but also guarantees a product without preservatives or additives. Plus, you can adjust the sweetness level or even use roasted peanuts to enhance its flavor. This recipe is perfect for those looking for a quick, no-bake sweet with few ingredients.

Directions

  1. 1

First of all, you can use 200g of peanut butter or make it yourself with salted peanuts! It's super easy, you grind it very well to form butter, I put 100g of packaged peanut butter and 100g of homemade butter.

  2. 2

Once we have the peanut butter, we will make a syrup with 70ml of water, 150g of sugar and 1 tablespoon of honey, it is important that it is almost like caramel.

  3. 3

Once the caramel is ready, in a bowl we will make a normal meringue and once that is ready, we will add the syrup to the meringue little by little as a thread while we continue to beat the meringue, leaving it like a very liquid meringue.

  4. 4

Once this is done, we mix it very well with the peanut butter and move to a mold hopefully made of silicone. If you don't have silicone you can place plastic wrap on the bottom of the mold, leaving it approximately 1 cm thick.

  5. 5

We leave it in the refrigerator for as long as possible, hopefully more than 3 hours, cut as we like and that's it.
