Today I will teach you how to prepare Patacones, a typical Venezuelan dish specifically from Maracaibo, rich in its variety of fillings.

It is accompanied with shredded meat, cheese, salad and sauces to taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 green male banana
  • 2 cloves garlic (optional)

Instructions:

    Step 1
  • Cut off the tips of the banana and cut it lengthwise, wet kitchen paper and wrap the banana with it, put it in the microwave for maximum power 8 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • This step is optional but the touch it gives to the final result is delicious: put a little water in a bowl and add the two crushed garlic cloves and a little salt, mix well and set aside.
  • Step 3
  • Preheat the air fryer to 200° for 5 minutes.
  • Step 4
  • Once the banana has come out of the microwave, remove the paper and very carefully cut into small pieces and then remove the skin, which will come off easily.
  • Step 5
  • Once cut and peeled, crush each piece to shape the patacón and soak with the garlic water.
  • Step 6
  • Put it in the Airfryer basket, spray with a little oil and program it at 200° for 10 minutes, turn them over halfway through cooking and spray with another little oil.
  • Step 7
  • In the end, I realized that 8 minutes was enough.
