Recipe of Mongolian chicken
Vida Recetas Editorial
Mongolian chicken is an Asian-inspired dish known for its salty, umami flavor, thanks to soy sauce and the fresh touch of scallions. Unlike other more elaborate recipes, this homemade version is easy and quick, perfect for a weekday meal or for those looking for something different without complications. Its origin is attributed to Chinese-American cuisine, where it became popular as a tasty and comforting option.
This recipe is perfect for beginners, as you only need chicken, scallions, soy sauce, and cornstarch to achieve a slightly thick sauce that coats the meat. The secret is to cut the chicken into thin strips and stir-fry over high heat so it stays juicy inside and golden outside. You can serve it with white rice or noodles, and if you like spicy food, add a touch of dried chili.
There are variations that incorporate ginger or garlic, but this version remains simple and balanced. If you want a more authentic result, use sesame oil at the end to give it an extra aroma. Go ahead and prepare this delicious Mongolian chicken at home and surprise everyone!
