Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon active dry yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup warm water
1/4 cup plain yogurt
2 tablespoons melted ghee or butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
Step 1
In a small bowl, mix the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder. Make a well in the center.
Step 3
Pour the yeast mixture, yogurt, and melted ghee into the well. Mix the ingredients to form a dough.
Step 4
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it's smooth and elastic.
Step 5
Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
Step 6
Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 7
Divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into an oval or round shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
Step 8
If desired, sprinkle minced garlic and cilantro leaves on top of the naan.
Step 9
Place the rolled naan on the grill or skillet and cook for about 2 minutes on each side, or until they puff up and have grill marks.
Step 10
