Instructions:
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and garlic, and sauté until they become translucent.
Step 3
Add the ground meat to the skillet and cook until it's browned and crumbly. Make sure to break up any clumps.
Step 4
Stir in the diced tomato, tomato paste, cumin, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and pepper. Cook for a few more minutes until the mixture is well combined and the tomatoes are softened.
Step 5
Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the lemon juice. Let the meat filling cool slightly.
Step 6
Take each flatbread and place a spoonful of the meat filling in the center. Fold the edges to create a small oval-shaped pie, leaving some of the filling exposed in the center.
Step 7
Place the sfihas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
Step 8
Once done, remove the sfihas from the oven, and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
