1 small red cabbage (about 1 kg), thinly sliced
2 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 cup red wine
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cloves
1 bay leaf

Instructions:
Step 1
In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
Step 2
Stir in the sliced red cabbage and apples. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 3
Add the red wine vinegar, sugar, apple juice, and red wine. Mix well.
Step 4
Season with salt, pepper, cloves, and the bay leaf. Stir to combine.
Step 5
Cover the pot and simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender.
Step 6
Remove the bay leaf and cloves before serving.
