Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 chili pepper red pepper
  • 1 chili pepper green pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon white pepper
  • 1 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup dry wine (white wine or kitchen wine)
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 100 grams green olives
  • 50 grams raisins
  • 20 grams capers

Instructions:

    Step 1
  • Prepare the Cuban stir fry: place in a saucepan, preheated with oil, the onion and the chili pepper (all chopped into small cubes). Then add the garlic and let it cook for a few minutes over low heat.
  • Step 2
  • Add the potatoes and carrots cut into small cubes. Add salt and pepper.
  • Step 3
  • Add the ground beef and mix all the ingredients well and add another little salt. Cook for a few minutes until the meat begins to change color, showing a different shade.
  • Step 4
  • Add the olives, tomato sauce, dry wine, raisins and sugar. Cover and let it cook for 15 minutes over medium heat.
  • Step 5
  • Finally, add the capers and the leftover olive oil.
  • Step 6
  • If we notice that the mincemeat has dried up a little, we can add the juice of a sweet orange (in Cuba we add sour orange).
