Ingredients

  • 500 gr. strength flour.
  • 30 gr. fresh baker's yeast or a sachet of dry, granulated baker's yeast (you can find them in supermarkets).
  • 20 cc. olive oil.
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar.
  • 10 gr. salt.
  • 250 cc. warm water.

Instructions:

    Step 1
  • Place the yeast, sugar and a little water in a bowl and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • Make a crown with the flour in a bowl, add the mixture with the yeast, salt, oil and the rest of the water.

  • Knead by hand until a compact dough forms.
  • Step 4
  • Roll out the dough on a well-floured surface and work it until it is thin and elastic to the touch.

  • Place the dough in a bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel and let it rest until it doubles in volume.
  • Step 6
  • Press the dough with the fist of your hand to extract the air.
  • Step 7
  • Divide the dough into 12 equal portions, let the rolls rest for a moment, then roll out each of them, and with the help of a rolling pin form 5 mm thick circles.
  • Step 8
  • Place on baking sheets greased with a little oil and place them in a preheated oven at 250 degrees for ten minutes.
  • Step 9
  • Once the breads are taken out of the oven, they are immediately placed between two kitchen towels so that it gets moisture and doesn't get hard.
