Instructions:
Step 1
Put a saucepan over medium heat, add the milk, the lemon peels, the cinnamon stick, the vanilla essence and the sugar. Mix and stir these ingredients and heat it until it reaches the boiling point, turn off the heat, cover and let it infuse for about 10 or 15 minutes.
Step 2
After the time has passed, take a bowl and add the egg yolks and whisk briefly. Now add the cornstarch and mix and stir well with the egg.
Step 3
Remove the lemon peels and the cinnamon stick from the pot and put it back on the fire, add the egg mixture and stir with rods always in the same direction constantly so that the mixture thickens.
Step 4
After a few minutes, when the mixture thickens, remove it from the heat and pour the custard into individual bowls, garnished with a couple of cookies on top and let it cool.
Step 5
We put them in the refrigerator covered with plastic wrap to consume the next day. When serving, sprinkle with a little cinnamon and ready to eat.
