Ingredients
500g ground beef and pork mix
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 onion, finely chopped
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups beef broth
2 bay leaves
1/2 cup cream
3 tbsp capers
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
1 lemon, sliced for garnish

Instructions:
Step 1
In a bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, and milk. Season with salt and pepper. Shape into meatballs.
Step 2
In a large pot, bring beef broth to a boil with bay leaves. Add meatballs and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
Step 3
Remove meatballs, keep them warm, and strain the broth.
Step 4
In a separate pan, melt butter, stir in flour until golden, and gradually add strained broth. Whisk until smooth.
Step 5
Add cream and capers to the sauce, simmer for a few minutes.
Step 6
Return meatballs to the sauce, heat through.
Step 7
Serve Königsberger Klopse with sauce, garnished with lemon slices. Enjoy your German comfort food!
