Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef and pork mix
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 3 tbsp capers
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 lemon, sliced for garnish

Instructions:

    Step 1
  • In a bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, and milk. Season with salt and pepper. Shape into meatballs.
  • Step 2
  • In a large pot, bring beef broth to a boil with bay leaves. Add meatballs and simmer for 15-20 minutes.

  • Remove meatballs, keep them warm, and strain the broth.
  • Step 4
  • In a separate pan, melt butter, stir in flour until golden, and gradually add strained broth. Whisk until smooth.

  • Add cream and capers to the sauce, simmer for a few minutes.

  • Return meatballs to the sauce, heat through.
