  • 3/4 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1/2 lettuce
  • 1 slice of lemon
  • 1 tablespoon of Salt

Instructions:

    Step 1
  • The first thing is to cook the artichoke, so in a large pot where you calculate that you can place the 6 artichokes, not yet place them, it's just to calculate.
  • Step 2
  • In the empty pot we place approximately 1.5 liters of water, and add a slice of lemon, this to prevent the artichokes from turning black.
  • Step 3
  • And when the water is boiled, place the salt, stir until it dissolves and add the 6 whole artichokes to the pot.
  • Step 4
  • Keep them on medium heat for 20 minutes, once the artichokes are cooked, pour the water into the pot, be careful not to burn yourself.

  • The following steps are optional, from my point of view I prefer to present the whole artichoke, but in this recipe we will show you how to prepare it with mayonnaise.

  • We started to remove each leaf and scrape it, managing to get all the food out of it one by one, until we get the paste from all the leaves of the artichoke.

  • All the resulting pasta should be passed through a sieve just in case.

  • The hearts of artichokes have their gray hairs removed, this is very important since they CANNOT BE EATEN and can even drown a child. When removing the hairs it will be like a space in the heart of the artichoke which we will fill.

  • You mix the pasta you took from the artichokes with 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, maybe a little less you should try, it all depends on the amount of pasta you have managed to extract, and stir well until the pasta is homogeneous.
  • Step 10
  • Fill the hearts of the 6 artichokes with the mayonnaise pasta you just prepared.
  • Step 11
  • With the rest of mayonnaise you can decorate each artichoke heart, and then place on a layer of lettuce.
