Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 1 cup julienned carrots
  • 1 cup julienned green beans
  • 1 cup julienned bell peppers (red and green)
  • 1 cup julienned cabbage
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Lumpia wrappers (spring roll wrappers)
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Sweet chili sauce for dipping

Instructions:

    Step 1
  • In a large pan, heat some oil over medium heat. Sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.
  • Step 2
  • Add ground pork and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
  • Step 3
  • Add shrimp and cook until they turn pink.
  • Step 4
  • Stir in soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Mix well.
  • Step 5
  • Add the julienned vegetables and bean sprouts. Cook for a few minutes until they are slightly wilted but still crisp.
  • Step 6
  • Remove from heat and let the mixture cool.
  • Step 7
  • Take a lumpia wrapper and place it on a flat surface. Spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of the filling onto the wrapper.
  • Step 8
  • Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling and roll it up tightly, sealing the edge with a little water.
  • Step 9
  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan. Fry lumpia until golden brown and crispy.
  • Step 10
  • Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Step 11
  • Serve hot with sweet chili sauce for dipping.
