Join me and let's see how to make New Year's Challah (Challah) Sweet Bread
Instructions:
Step 1
In a jug we put warm water, honey and yeast to activate it, all that is stirred.
Step 2
Then, in a bowl, add the flour and the egg, and we begin to mix it gently
Step 3
Little by little we are adding the yeast mixture and we are mixing
Step 4
Finally we add the oil as a thread and knead until it homogenizes and forms. Then we let the dough rest in a glass container, with oil for 2 hours.
Step 5
I forgot to take the photo step by step to put it together, but it forms like a # and is intertwined in a circular way.
Step 6
Then it is moistened a little with water and sesame is added. In the preheated oven at 180°C it is baked for approx. 30 minutes (I suggest trying cooking with a skewer stick).
Step 7
Finally, honey is added to give it more sweetness and shine 😍 (above I leave you the link to the challah bread for Shabbat, it's the same recipe but it changes the shape).
Step 8
After 2 hours we place it on the counter, knead it a little. If the dough is too sticky, you can help it with flour.
Step 9
Then we separate it into 4 rolls, and we stretch it out. We should have 4 plasters left as in the photo.
