Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs without skin or bones
  • 200 ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 1 and 1/2 natural sugar-free yogurt
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 400 g crushed tomato
  • Olive oil, salt
  • 1 tsp cumin, ginger, pepper and turmeric

Instructions:

    Step 1
  • To begin with, we are going to macerate the already chopped chicken in a mixture made with yogurt, salt, lemon juice and half of the spices. The chicken must be soaked in this mixture and must be kept that way for at least 2 hours in the fridge. You can stay longer, even from one day to the next.
  • Step 2
  • On the other hand, we pass the tomato with the onion and garlic through the blender until there is a uniform paste.
  • Step 3
  • Saute the chicken until golden brown and set aside.
  • Step 4
  • In the same pan, reduce the tomato paste with another 2 tablespoons of oil on the fire until it thickens a little and darkens. We added salt and half of the spices that we had reserved.
  • Step 5
  • To complete the dish, mix the chicken with the tomato and add the milk.
  • Step 6
  • As soon as the sauce reduces and the chicken is well done inside, we will have the chicken tikka masala ready. We can serve it with white rice.
