  • 500g carrots, peeled and grated
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 cup ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (cashews, almonds, and pistachios)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • A pinch of saffron strands (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon raisins (optional)

  • Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan and add the grated carrots. Sauté them on low heat for 10-15 minutes until they turn soft and release a sweet aroma.
