  • 3/4 cup peanut butter, divided.
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons of butter, divided.
  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar, divided.
  • 1/4 cup of evaporated milk.
  • 1 1/2 cups of marshmallow cream.
  • 1 1/2 cups of roasted peanuts with salt.
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cup of cold water.
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream.
  • 1 teaspoon of salt.

Instructions:

    Step 1
  • Line a 9 x 13 tray with parchment paper.
  • Step 2
  • In a medium bowl, melt 2 1/2 cups of chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of peanut butter in a double boiler.

  • Stir until smooth and pour half of it onto the parchment-lined pan.
  • Step 4
  • Refrigerate until ready and hard, at least one hour.

  • In a large bowl, melt 1/4 cup of butter, 1/2 cup of sugar, and evaporated milk in a double boiler.

  • Add the fluff, 1/4 cup of peanut butter, peanuts and vanilla.
  • Step 7
  • Pour over the chocolate base and refrigerate until ready.

  • In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar and cold water.

  • Cook over medium-high heat without stirring until the sugar has browned, about 8 minutes.

  • Remove from heat and carefully stir in the heavy cream, taking care to splash the sugar.

  • Add the remaining butter and salt.

  • Pour the caramel over the nougat layer and set aside.

  • Pour the remaining melted chocolate and peanut butter over the caramel layer.
  • Step 14
  • Refrigerate until ready and hard, at least one hour. (Bars are more easily cut when cold.)
  • Step 15
  • Remove from the mold and divide it evenly.

  • The bars will be kept in the covered fridge for up to a week.
