Fry the onion, in a large pan, with a generous drizzle of oil and salt. While we chop the potatoes, and when the onions are golden brown, add the potatoes, and let them brown for a few minutes.

Cover the potatoes with the milk and let it cook for about 20 minutes. While in a pot, cook the trotiglioni, when they are done, drain and add them to the pan. Stir and let everything cook together for a few more minutes, so that the potato practically falls apart.

Add the cream cheese and turn off the heat. In a frying pan, sauté the ham tacos. Serve on the spot topped with ham and fresh basil and enjoy, you're sure to score.
