    In a bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, and milk. Season with salt and pepper. Shape into meatballs.

    In a large pot, bring beef broth to a boil with bay leaves. Add meatballs and simmer for 15-20 minutes.

    Remove meatballs, keep them warm, and strain the broth.
