Recipe of Rice with octopus
Discover how to prepare a delicious rice with octopus, a dish full of flavor and maritime tradition that conquers everyone. This recipe is perfect for those looking for a comforting stew without complications, since its difficulty is easy and it is prepared in a few steps. Originally from the Spanish coasts, this rice combines the tender texture of octopus with the creamy grain, creating a unique combination.
The secret is in the sofrito: chopped garlic, onion, and pepper that are cooked slowly to enhance their aromas. Then, the chopped octopus, crushed tomato, bay leaf, paprika, and a touch of salt are added. After a few minutes, the fish stock is added and, finally, the round rice with a pinch of turmeric to give it a spectacular golden color. The result is a moist and tasty dish, ideal for a family meal or a special occasion.
You can adapt the recipe to your taste: if you prefer a soupier rice, add more stock; if you like it drier, let it evaporate. You can also substitute the octopus with other seafood like squid or prawns. Go ahead and enjoy this delicacy from the sea at your own table!
