For the dough, mix the flour and salt in a bowl. Add the butter and mix with your fingers until the mixture has the consistency of breadcrumbs.

Add the egg and water and mix until a smooth dough forms. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

For the filling, heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until tender. Add the chicken, cumin, paprika, olives, salt and pepper and cook for a few more minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

On a floured surface, roll out the dough and cut circles with a cookie cutter or small plate.

Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle and fold in half, sealing the edges with a fork.

Fry the patties in hot oil until golden and crisp.
