Recipe of Chard balls
Chard balls are an original and tasty way to incorporate this leafy green vegetable into your diet. This recipe combines chard with ground meat, onion, and pine nuts, creating juicy balls that are baked until golden. They are perfect as an appetizer, starter, or even as a light main course, ideal for those looking for healthy options without sacrificing flavor.
The origin of this preparation is inspired by Mediterranean cuisine, where vegetables and meats are mixed to create versatile and nutritious dishes. Chard, rich in vitamins and minerals, is combined with the protein of the meat, resulting in a balanced and satisfying recipe. Moreover, it's an excellent way to get kids to eat vegetables without realizing it.
The preparation is simple: the chard is sautéed with onion, mixed with the ground meat, and formed into balls that are baked. They can be served with homemade fried tomato and garlic mayonnaise, or as a base for delicious burgers. You can also adapt the recipe by adding spices or herbs to your liking. Without a doubt, these balls will become a classic in your kitchen.
