How to Make Chicken pupusas

    Step 1
  • Fry the chicken thighs in plenty of oil for 5 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.

  • Once fried, place the thighs in a pot and cover with enough water, heat over medium heat.
  • Step 3
  • Cover the pot when it boils and lower it to a minimum heat, cook for 20 minutes.
  • Step 4
  • In a bowl, add the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt.
  • Step 5
  • Add the egg, mix and then add the water together with the oil, continue mixing until you integrate the ingredients and form a dough.

  • Knead until the mixture doesn't stick to your hands and let it rest for 30 minutes.

  • Remove the chicken, drain the water and let it cool.

  • Bone the thighs and crumble.
  • Step 9
  • In a pan with oil, sauté the pepper, onion and garlic.
  • Step 10
  • Add the shredded chicken, mozzarella cheese and tomato, mix and cook until the cheese melts.

  • Add salt and pepper to taste.

  • Take a portion of dough, make a ball and crush it into a round shape until it is half a centimeter thick.

  • Fill with the chicken mixture and seal with another dough lid.

  • Place the dough in a pan with hot oil and cook each bread on both sides.
  • Step 15
  • Remove from heat, chop in half and serve.
