How to Make Aloo Tikki
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, breadcrumbs, chopped onions, green chilies, and coriander leaves.
- Add the red chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt to the mixture. Mix everything well to form a uniform dough.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into flat, round patties (tikkis).
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the tikkis in the pan. Fry until they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides. Make sure to flip them to cook evenly.
- Remove the aloo tikkis from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Serve the aloo tikkis hot with mint chutney or tamarind sauce. Enjoy your homemade Indian street food delight!
- Optional: You can also serve aloo tikkis in burger buns with chutney and toppings for a delicious aloo tikki burger.
