How to Make Cornbread
Instructions
- In a small bowl, add the honey, yeast and 100 ml of warm water and stir.
- In another bowl, mix the flours leaving a hole in the center where we will pour the first mixture.
- Cover and let it rest for about 20 minutes. Pour the salt and the rest of the water over the flour, adding it little by little.
- We start kneading with our hands greased in oil until we get the dough to have a smooth and lump-free consistency.
- Cover and let it sit until it doubles in size. Sprinkle some flour in a mold and place the dough, pressing the folds above to create surface tension.
- Place in the mold, cover and let it rest for another 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 250° and bake for about 10 minutes, lower the temperature to 180° and wait another 40-45 minutes.
- We unmold and wait for it to cool down.
