How to Make Ham broth
Instructions
- We group all the ingredients together. Peel the turnips and carrots. We cleaned the leek and kept the white part.
- Put a large pot on the fire with a generous splash of oil and when it is hot, add the ham bone and the tip of the ham and sauté for a couple of minutes over medium-high heat. Add the leek, carrots and turnip and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Add 2 liters of water and half a teaspoon of salt. Let everything be done together on a medium-slow fire for 2 hours.
- After that time, we removed from the fire. Take out the vegetables, the bone and the tip of the ham and strain the broth. We take our broth to the fridge, when it's cold and let it sit all night. The next day we removed the fat layer.
- We already have our broth ready, the one that you are not going to consume can be thrown into glass jars and freeze it. Hope you like it!!!
- Note: take advantage of the vegetables to make a delicious puree with a little ham.
