How to Make Khachapuri
Instructions
- Prepare the dough by sifting the flour together with the salt and baking soda.
- Mix the liquids: the yogurts, the oil and the egg.
- It integrates both liquid and dry ingredients. Knead for about 5 to 10 minutes. After that time, let it sit covered with kitchen film for 20 minutes.
- Prepare the cheese paste: mix the egg with the two grated cheeses. Divide it into 5 portions.
- Roll out the dough, on the counter covered with flour. Cut it into 5 portions. Cover them with kitchen film and let them rest for 10 minutes.
- Roll out a ball and place a cheese ball in the center. Close the dough, so that the cheese is inside.
- Cover the ball with flour and roll it out again, with the help of a kitchen stick, until it is 1/2 cm thick.
- Heat a pan with a little oil. Place a tortilla and after two minutes we turn the tortilla over and paint the side that we just turned over with a little butter. When the bottom side is ready, remove it from the pan and paint that side with butter.
- Repeat this process with the remaining doughs.
