- In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, cumin, coriander, paprika, garam masala, turmeric powder, and chili powder (if desired) to make the marinade.
- Add chicken pieces to the marinade, coating them well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add chopped onions and cook until golden brown.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan, stirring for about 1 minute.
