How to Make Traditional Quiche Lorraine
Instructions
- Sprinkle the countertop with flour and prepare a homogeneous dough with butter, flour, 3 tablespoons of cold water and a pinch of salt and pepper. Cover it and let it sit for about an hour in a cool place.
- Cut the ham and bacon into strips. Peel the onions and garlic, chop and sauté them. Mix them with the ham and bacon and salt and pepper.
- Wash the chives and shake them well to dry. Chop it finely and add it to the preparation.
- Heat the oven to 200°C (with air circulation on, to 180°C). Roll out the dough and line the bottom and the edge of a greased 24 cm removable mold with it. Spread the ham and bacon mixture on top.
- Mix the eggs with the cheese, cream and milk and pour the cream into the mold. Then bake the quiche in the oven for about 50 minutes.
