How to Make Escargot
Instructions
- Rinse the snails thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or debris.
- Place the snails in a large pot of boiling water and cook for about 5 minutes.
- Remove the snails from the pot and use a toothpick to pick them out from their shells.
- In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper.
- Stir the butter mixture until well combined and creamy.
- Place a small amount of the garlic butter mixture into each snail shell.
- Return the snails to their shells, pressing them gently into the butter mixture.
- Arrange the filled snail shells on a baking sheet.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Bake the escargot for 10-12 minutes, or until the butter is bubbling and the snails are heated through.
- Serve the escargot hot with sliced baguette for dipping into the garlic butter.
