How to Make Katsudon
Instructions
- Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
- Dredge in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry pork until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- In the same pan, sauté onions until translucent.
- Combine sauce ingredients in a bowl and pour over onions.
- Slice fried pork into strips and place them on top of the onions.
- Beat 4 eggs and pour evenly over the pork.
- Cover and cook until the eggs are set (about 5 minutes).
- Serve over a bowl of hot steamed rice.
- Garnish with green onions or pickled ginger if desired.
