How to Make Mofongo
Instructions
- Remove the skin from the bananas and cut into 2 centimeter slices.
- Add the oil to a pan, heat and fry the bananas until golden brown and remove from the heat.
- Place on absorbent paper and set aside.
- Place the butter, bacon and garlic in a mortar and mash until the ingredients are integrated.
- Add the bananas to the mortar, grind them and mix well, avoiding lumps.
- Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything until you get a consistent dough.
- Pour the dough into small molds and unmold on the plate.
