How to Make Whole wheat spelt cake
Instructions
- Put the eggs together with the sugar in a bowl and beat until it has dissolved.
- Add the oil, yogurt and zest and beat again until everything is well integrated.
- Finally, sift the flour, together with the baking powder and a teaspoon of cinnamon powder (cinnamon is optional and can be added to taste). Mix until we have a homogeneous mass without lumps.
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC with top and bottom heat. And while we line the mold where we are going to bake it.
- Fill the mold with the dough and bake for about 35 minutes. Always be in the habit of puncturing the center of the cake with a toothpick to check that it comes out clean. Otherwise, extend baking for another 5-10 minutes and check again.
- Once ready, let it cool on a rack and unmold it after 10-15 minutes to let it cool completely. If you like it you can sprinkle it with a little icing sugar.
