How to Make Soup Dumplings
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped green onions, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and white pepper. Mix well to create the dumpling filling.
- Place a small amount of the filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper. Fold the wrapper in half and pleat the edges to seal, creating a small pouch. Make sure it's sealed tightly to prevent any broth from leaking.
- In a large steamer, brush the steaming racks with vegetable oil to prevent sticking. Place the dumplings on the racks, leaving some space in between each.
- Steam the dumplings for about 20-25 minutes until the wrappers become translucent and the dumplings are fully cooked.
- Serve the soup dumplings hot with a dipping sauce made from soy sauce and rice vinegar, and enjoy the flavorful broth that's been trapped inside!
- Be careful when taking a bite, as the broth inside is hot. Dip in the sauce and savor the wonderful flavors.
