How to Make Gorditas de Crema
Instructions
- Combine the flour with baking powder, salt and sugar.
- Make a volcano with the mixture and add the liquids in the center.
- Knead for about 10 minutes until you get a consistency that doesn't stick to your fingers.
- Roll it out by 1 cm and cut them with a mold or plate.
- Reassemble, stretch and cut off any leftover dough.
- Put the fat ones on a tray, covered with parchment paper and cover them with a slightly damp cloth. Leave them for 30 minutes.
- Heat a frying pan with a little oil, on a low to medium flame, cook them for 4 minutes or until golden brown on the bottom.
- Repeat the process on the other side and leave them 4 more minutes or until golden brown.
