How to Make Wonton Soup

  • In a bowl, combine ground pork, minced shrimp, garlic, ginger, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and white pepper. Mix well.

  • Place a small amount of the filling in the center of a wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold in half to form a triangle. Press the edges to seal, ensuring no air is trapped inside.

  • Bring the two bottom corners of the triangle together and seal with a bit of water, creating the classic wonton shape.

  • In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a simmer.
  • Step 5
  • Carefully drop the wontons into the simmering broth and cook for about 5 minutes, or until they float to the surface and the filling is cooked through.

  • Add the chopped bok choy leaves to the pot and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
